Rev. Ruth Bradshaw
Interim Pastor
Originally from central Illinois, Pastor Ruth Bradshaw has been active in the church since high school. She at one point served as a Christian Education Director before attending seminary at Andover Newton Theological School in Newton, Massachusetts. Ruth became ordained in the United Church of Christ in 2004 serving churches in Vermont, Kansas, and now Wisconsin. She is thrilled to serve as interim pastor here at Delavan UCC and looks forward to supporting the congregation. Ruth has a passion for kids and youth, for music of all kinds, and finding ways to make scripture and tradition relevant in our own place and time. She’s always up for coffee and conversation!
Kris
Pianist
Kris holds a BA in Music Education (UW-Parkside) and an MS in Curriculum/Instruction (UW-Whitewater), and taught elementary instrumental music in southeast WI for over 25 years. A resident of East Troy, she now works as a professional piano accompanist at area churches, schools and theaters- most recently at Chapel on the Hill in Lake Geneva. Kris currently leads a volunteer/staff show band at Lakeland Heath Care Center in Elkhorn, entertaining residents a few times a year. She has two grown children, one granddaughter, and a spoiled miniature dachshund.
Tina
Sunday School Teacher
Tina has worked in the child care industry for 18 years and has been teaching Sunday School for the last 6 years. Tina enjoys spending quality time with children sharing Bible Stories and doing lots of fun related activities with them. In her free time, Tina enjoys spending it with her husband and her terrier mix who is often featured on her Facebook page.
Dale
Chancel Choir Director
Originally from a dairy farm in Stoughton, Dale holds a BSE in Music Education (UW-Whitewater) and is a graduate from the Armed Forces School of Music based in Norfolk, VA. His music experience consists of taking part in several band and choir groups. Before he retired, Dale taught Elementary, Middle, and High School band and choir for 37 years. In addition to teaching, he has also served as an Army Bandsman, directed the Colfax Madrigal Consort and currently serves in the Voice of Praise Choir of Walworth County. In his free time, Dale enjoys spending time with his wife Janice as well as the 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren they have.
Jim
Technology & Media Specialist
Jim holds a BS from UW Oshkosh in Radio TV and Film. Primarily in radio, he has worked in promotions for WTMJ in Milwaukee as well as hosted a music variety show on-air for KRFC in Fort Collins, Colorado. Jim currently resides in Greenfield and enjoys playing tennis, going fishing, and hiking in his spare time.
