Sue grew up in the Chicago area. She is a graduate of Concordia University in River Forest, IL and has her Masters of Divinity from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago and was ordained in the Lutheran Church in America in 1982. She has served congregations in Illinois. When Sue moved to Delavan with her family, she joined the United Church of Christ in Delavan and had her ordination recognized by receiving Privilege of Call, through the United Church of Christ. Sue currently serves as Hospice Chaplain for the Aurora Visiting Nurses Association. Sue is married to Dr. Steve Benzon, who is a veterinarian at Delavan Animal Clinic. Together they have four sons, Peter, Drew, John, and Bob. Sue also has two stepchildren, Mandie and Dave. Sue enjoys hiking and most recently, learning to play the piano.

Nancy Rasmussen has been involved in church music as choral director, bell choir director, keyboardist and guitarist since 1973. As a music educator, she has taught general, choral and instrumental music in West Virginia, California and Wisconsin from pre-school through university levels. Nancy was elected President of the Wisconsin Music Education Association and also served on the North Central Board of the National Association for Music Education. Her degrees include a bachelor of music education from West Virginia University and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin.


davidbahrkeDavid Bahrke

Organist

 

Delavan UCC-Congregational in Delavan, Wisconsin welcomes Mr. David Bahrke as organist. Mr. Bahrke has worked as a director of music in Episcopal, Lutheran and Roman Catholic parishes as well as other orthodox and protestant denominations. He has serviced as Dean and Sub Dean of the American Guild of Organists-Milwaukee Chapter and as a member of the Development and Finance Committee of the AGO National Council. For seventeen years he was Chorus Manager and Artist Liaison for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Bahrke also has his own business: David Bahrke Music and Music Media and is also a choral director, vocal coach and pianist.

 

Sharon Ketterhagen

Sharon grew up in Mundelein, IL and received her B.S. degree from Illinois State University, a MA from Ball State University, Muncie IN, and her counselor education certification from Northern IL University. Sharon’s 37-year teaching career was at Harvard High School, the first half of which was spent teaching physical education and ended with her serving as a guidance counselor. Sharon lives in Fontana and has two grown children, Bill and Lynn. When she is not involved in a church activity, Sharon enjoys traveling, gardening, and pottery.
